Human Resources officer – Maternity Leave

As the HR Officer, you’ll support the daily functions of the HR department, ensuring smooth operations across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a positive employee experience while providing professional HR support to managers and staff during the maternity leave period.

key responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Assist with performance review cycles and training coordination
  • Manage employee queries and support HR policy interpretation
  • Manage Workcover claims and cases
  • Assist in the implementation of HR initiatives and projects
  • Assist managers with employee relations matters and offer advice

about you:

  • HR qualifications (e.g., diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field)
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role
  • Strong understanding of HR legislation, policies, and best practices
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
