Human Resources officer – Maternity Leave
As the HR Officer, you’ll support the daily functions of the HR department, ensuring smooth operations across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a positive employee experience while providing professional HR support to managers and staff during the maternity leave period.
key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Assist with performance review cycles and training coordination
- Manage employee queries and support HR policy interpretation
- Manage Workcover claims and cases
- Assist in the implementation of HR initiatives and projects
- Assist managers with employee relations matters and offer advice
about you:
- HR qualifications (e.g., diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field)
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role
- Strong understanding of HR legislation, policies, and best practices
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
